The Taiwan 1,000 Yuan banknote is part of the family of banknotes issued by the Central Bank in 2004. The banknote has blue and light green color combinations. Its obverse portrays a telescope and elementary school children studying a globe. A school girl with a microscope is also depicted. The back of the note displays mikado pheasants, chrysanthemums, and Mount Yu. The banknote is 160 x 70 mm in size and has an inserted windowed security thread with a demetalized 1000. It also bears a holographic strip and a watermark that reveals chrysanthemums and an electrotype 1000. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
