The Tajikistan 3 Somoni banknote is part of the family of notes released by the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan in 1994. The banknotes obverse features the coat of arms of the country, an open book with a pen, and a portrait of hero statesman Shirinsho Shotemur. The reverse of the note depicts the national flag and the Majlisi Oli or the parliament building in Dushanbe. The 141 x 65 mm paper bill has a windowed security thread with a demetalized Tajik text. It also has a registration device in the form of the bank logo and a watermark that reflects Shirinsho Shotemur. This particular paper bill has been graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
