This uncirculated 1,000 Tanzanian shilling note is part of the latest series of banknotes issued by the Bank of Tanzania. This note is dated 2015 and bears the signatures of Saada Mkuya Salum and Benno Ndulu. It has a blue color scheme and dimensions of 125 mm by 65 mm. Its obverse side shows the first president of Tanzania, Julius Kambarage Nyerere, and the Bismarck Rock in Mwanza Harbor. Its reverse side shows the Ikulu (State House) building in Dar es Salaam and a coffee plant. Security features include a holographic patch, a security thread with demetalized BOT 2015, and a watermark that shows Julius Nyerere, an electrotype 1000, and Cornerstones.
