Reviews:

This purple Tanzania 1,000 Shillings banknote was released by the Bank of Tanzania in 2003. Its obverse features the emblem of Tanzania, the Bismarck Rock in Mwanza Harbour, and a portrait of the countrys first president Julius Kambarage Nyerere. The reverse of the note depicts a plant and the State House building with a flag at the top in Dar es Salaam. The paper bill is 135 x 66 mm in size and was printed by Giesecke & Devrient. Its security features include a holographic stripe, a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOT 2003, and a watermark that reflects the head of a giraffe with an electrotype 1000. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
