This 10 Tanzanian shilling specimen note bears the signatures of Finance Minister Amir Habib Jamal and Governor Charles Nyirabu. It is a green note that measures 143 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side shows the first president Julius Kambarage Nyerere, a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint, a torch, and the coat of arms. Its reverse side features a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint, a sculpture, Mount Kilimanjaro, an Uhura (Peace) monument in Arusha, and a map of Tanzania. Security features include a solid security thread and a giraffe head watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note with Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ), above-average centering, and minor distractions. Thus, the note is graded 65 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
