The Tanzania 100 Shilingi is part of the family of notes issued by the Bank of Tanzania in 1977. The banknotes obverse features the coat of arms of Tanzania and a picture of the countrys first president, Julius Kambarage Nyerere. The reverse of the note shows students reading books in a library, a boy with a hoe and a girl with a tool, the map of Tanzania with islands, a village, and a torch. The banknote is 156 x 83 mm in size and bears a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reveals a giraffes head. This Tanzania 100 Shilingi banknote has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
