The Tanzania 100 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Bank of Tanzania in 1986. The banknote has a color combination of blue, purple, and green. Its obverse features the first president, Julius Kambarage Nyerere. The reverse depicts the University of Dar es Salaam campus buildings on Observation Hill and students in a graduation procession. A torch and a map of Tanzania showing the islands are also depicted on the back design. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a giraffe’s head. It is 150 x 76 mm in size and is signed by Charles Nyirabu and David Msuya. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
