The Tanzania 100 Shilingi Banknote was issued by the Bank of Tanzania in 1986. The note has a color combination of blue, purple, and green. Its obverse features the first president, Julius Kambarage Nyerere. The reverse depicts the University of Dar es Salaam campus buildings on Observation Hill and students in a graduation procession. A torch and a map of Tanzania showing the islands are also depicted on the back design. The note contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a giraffe’s head. It is 150 x 76 mm in size and is signed by Charles Nyirabu and David Msuya. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
