This 100 Tanzanian shilling specimen note has a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint on both sides and an all-zero serial number. It is a red note that measures 156 mm x 83 mm and bears the signatures of Finance Minister Amir Habib Jamal and Governor Charles Nyirabu. Its obverse side shows the first president Julius Kambarage Nyerere. Its reverse side depicts students reading in a library, a boy with a hoe, a girl with a tool, and the map of Tanzania. Security features include a solid security thread and a giraffe head watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
