This uncirculated 2,000 Tanzanian shilling banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Bank of Tanzania in 2003. It is a tan and brown banknote that bear the signatures of Basil Pesambili Mramba and Daudi T.S. Ballali, and measures 140 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side features a lion and Mount Kilimanjaro. Its reverse side depicts a view of the Old Omani Arab Fort (Ngome Kongwe) in Zanzibar. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOT 2003, a holographic stripe, and a watermark of a giraffe head with an electrotype 2000.
