The Tanzania 2,000 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Bank of Tanzania between 2010 to 2020. It has a tan and brown color combination. Its obverse side bears Swahili text, the national emblem of Tanzania, and a lion’s head. Its reverse side contains English text, a carved block, a view of the old Omani Arab Fort in Zanzibar’s Stone Town, and a diamond-shaped Spark patch with a giraffe head. Other security features include a motion-windowed security thread and a watermark of Julius Kambarage Nyerere with an electrotype 2000. The note is 130 mm x 66 mm in size and bears the signatures of Bank Governor Benno Ndulu and Minister of Finance Mustafa Mkulo. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
