This uncirculated 2,000 Tanzanian shilling note was issued by the Bank of Tanzania from 2010 to 2020. It has a tan and brown color scheme and bears the signatures of Bank Governor Benno Ndulu and Minister of Finance Mustafa Mkulo. Its obverse side contains Swahili text, the national emblem of Tanzania, and a lion head. Its reverse side contains English text, a carved block, a view of the old Omani Arab Fort in Zanzibars Stone Twon, and a diamond-shaped Spark patch with a giraffe head. Other security features include a motion-windowed security thread and a watermark of Julius Kambarage Nyerere with an electrotype 2000. The note measures 130 mm long and 66 mm wide.
