The Thailand 1,000 Baht Banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand in 2017 to commemorate King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The banknote has a color combination of dark brown, orange, and violet-pink. Its obverse features Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in the Royal House of Chakri gown. It also shows the Royal Garuda emblem. The reverse depicts the Royal Garuda emblem, Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit, the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall in Bangkok, and the Rama VIII cable-stayed bridge in Bangkok. The banknote contains a holographic stripe, a 4-mm wide green-to-gold RollingStar Cube windowed security thread with demetallized 1000 Thai text. Its watermark reveals Rama and an electrotype Thai text. It is 162 x 72 mm in size. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
