The Thailand 1,000 Baht Banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand in 2017 to commemorate King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The banknote has a color combination of dark brown, orange, and violet-pink and bears Thai text. Its obverse features Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in the Royal House of Chakri gown. It also shows the Royal Garuda emblem. The reverse depicts the Royal Garuda emblem, Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit, the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall in Bangkok, and the Rama cable-stay bridge in Bangkok. The banknote contains a holographic stripe, a 4-mm wide green-to-gold RollingStar Cube windowed security thread with demetallized 1000 baht in Thai, and a watermark that reveals Rama IX and an electrotype 1000 in Thai. The banknote is 162 x 72 mm in size. This particular commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition.
