Thailand 100 Baht Banknote from 2011 with pick number P-124 is in uncirculated (UNC) condition and features King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). This commemorative banknote comes with a folder-card.


This commemorative folder from Thailand contains one 100 Thai baht banknote. The commemorative 100 Thai baht banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand to celebrate the 84th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2010. It is a red and orange banknote that is dated BE 2554, bears the signatures of Thirachai Phuvanatnaranubala and Prasam Trairatvorakul, and measures 162 mm x 84 mm. Its obverse side shows the king’s initials in a silver foil circle, a portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in uniform, the royal seal, and the Royal Garuda emblem. Its reverse side depicts the different official duties and hobbies of Rama IX, including Rama IX holding a camera and papers during his visit to the Mae Roem Reservoir Project, keeling in front of a crowd, playing the saxophone, and planting vetiver grass. It also includes depictions of Adulyadej’s projects like four aircraft planes deploying the Super Sandwich cloud-seeding technique, the Kwai Noi Bamrung Daen Dam, the Royal Garuda emblem, and the Chaipattana Low-Speed Surface Aerator. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark that shows the royal seal with an electrotype of the king’s initials.
