The Thailand 50 Baht banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand between 1985 and 1996. It was meant to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bangkok in 1982, however, printing had been delayed. The banknotes obverse features the Royal Garuda emblem, the arms of the Chakri dynasty which illustrates a discus and a trident. The banknote also displays Rama IX in uniform. The back of the note depicts the coat of arms and Rama VIIs signature, the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall within the Royal Dusit Palace in Bangkok. Additionally, the notes reverse displays the Royal Garuda emblem and the statue of a seated Rama VII in front of the National Parliament building in Bangkok. The 144 x 72 mm paper bill bears a solid security thread with a printed text in Thai. It also has a watermark that reflects Rama IX. This particular paper bill has been TAP authenticated and is in uncirculated condition.
