The Thailand 50 Baht Banknote was issued by the Bank of Thailand in 2017 to celebrate the life of Rama IX, also known as King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Its obverse side shows the Royal Garuda emblem and King Bhumibol Adulyadej in the Royal House of Chakri gown. Its reverse side depicts the different royal ceremonies that Rama IX attended at the early stages of his enthronement. Its security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized 50. It also has a watermark that reveals Rama IX with electrotype Thai text. The note is 144 mm x 72 mm in size and is signed by Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong and Dr. Veerathai Santiprahob. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
