This uncirculated 500 Thai baht banknote is issued by the Government of Thailand to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Ministry of Finance in 1996. It is a purple banknote that bear the signatures of Surakiet Sathienthai and Vijit Supinit, and measures 156 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side features the Royal Garuda emblem, the royal ceremonial seal for the Golden Jubilee, and a portrait of Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). Its reverse side depicts the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Rama I and Rama II, traditional dancers, and the Royal Garuda emblem. Security features include a solid security thread with a demetalized 500 and Thai text and a watermark of Rama IX.
