Thailand 500 Baht Banknote, 1996, P-100, UNC, Commemorative

The Thailand 500 Baht banknote was introduced by the Government of Thailand in 1996 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Ministry of Finance. The obverse of this purple paper bill features the Royal Garuda emblem, the royal ceremonial seal of the Golden Jubilee, and Bhumibol Adulyadej in uniform. The banknotes reverse depicts the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Grand Palace, in Bangkok, Rama I wearing a hat and Rama II holding a sword, traditional dancers, and the Royal Garuda emblem. The banknote is 156 x 72 mm in size and bears a solid security thread with a demetalized 500 Thai text. It also carries a watermark that reveals Rama IX. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition.
