Reviews:

This uncirculated 500 Thai baht banknote is a commemorative polymer banknote issued by the Government of Thailand in 1996 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rama IX’s ascension to the throne. It is a gold and green banknote that bear the signatures of Bordi Chunnanond and Rerngchai Marakanond, and measures 171 mm x 91 mm. Its obverse side features the royal ceremonial emblem of the Golden Jubilee, a seated King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), a kinnon (half-man, half-bird mythological creature), a Royal Garuda emblem, and a Rama IX hologram. Its reverse side depicts a Rama IX hologram, a waterfall, a dam, agricultural crops, farmers, and a standing Rama IX. Because it is a polymer note, it does not have a security thread. However, it has a shadow image of the royal emblem. The banknote also comes with a commemorative folder-card.
