This uncirculated 500 Thai baht note is a standard circulation note that is issued by the Bank of Thailand in BE 2539 (1996) and bears the signatures of Thanong Bidaya and Chaiyawat Wibulswadi. It is a purple note that measures 156 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side shows the royal seal and a portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). Its reverse side depicts the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the Grand Palace, a standing Rama I, a standing Rama II with a sword, traditional dancers, and the Royal Garuda emblem. Security features include a solid security thread with a demetalized 500 baht and a watermark of Rama IX with an electrotype symbol “Prajumyan”.
