The Thailand 500 Baht banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand in 1996. The obverse side of this purple banknote features the Royal Garuda emblem, the royal seal, and Bhumibol Adulyadej in uniform. The back of the paper bill depicts the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Grand Palace, Bangkok, Rama I wearing a hat and Rama II holding a sword. It also shows traditional dancers and the Royal Garuda emblem. The banknote is 156 x 72 mm in size and bears a solid security thread with a demetalized 500 Thai text. It also has a watermark that reflects Rama IX and an electrotype symbol Prajumyan. This Thailand 500 Baht banknote is in uncirculated condition.
