This uncirculated 500 Thai baht banknote is a commemorative banknote introduced by the Government of Thailand to celebrate the 7th cycle (84th) birthday celebration of Queen Sirikit in 2016. It is a purple banknote that is dated BE 2559 (2015), bears the signatures of Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong and Dr. Veerathai Santiprabhob, and measures 156 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side features the Royal Garuda emblem and a portrait of Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in the Royal House of Chakri gown. Its reverse side depicts the Royal Garuda emblem, the royal family, Queen Sirikit examining the Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Center products, a seated Queen Sirikit in the Thai Boromphiman costume, a Khon performance, Lygodium products, a Queen Sirikit Cattleya flower, and a Queen Sirikit Rose flower. Security features include a holographic stripe, a 4-mm wide green-to-gold RollingStar Cube windowed security thread with a demetalized 500 BAHT in Thai text, and a watermark of Rama IX with an electrotype Thai text.
