This uncirculated 80 Thai baht banknote is issued by the Government of Thailand to commemorate the 80th birthday of Queen Sirikit in 2012. It is a blue banknote that is dated BE 2555 (2012), bears the signatures of Kittiratt Na-Ranong and Prasarn Trairatvorakul, and measures 162 mm x 80 mm. Its obverse side features the Royal Garuda emblem, a portrait of the royal couple Rama IX and Queen Sirikit, a depiction of Bhumibol Adulyadej granting Sirikit the title of Queen, and the royal crest commemorating the 80th birthday. Its reverse side depicts the Royal Garuda emblem, a portrait of a young Queen Sirikit, and moments of the Queen’s life. Security features include a windowed motion security thread with 80 and a rose and a watermark of the Queen with an electrotype crowned monogram.
