The Thale am Harz 50 Pfennig Notgeld is part of the emergency series issued by the City of Thale am Harz in the Prussian province of Saxony in 1921. Its obverse depicts a coat of arms flanked by a devil and an ogre. It also shows owls, a frog, a bat, and a snake. The reverse of the note displays the Kloster Wendhusen in Thale, Germany and its cloister. The banknote does not contain a security thread and watermark. It is 95 x 60 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. This particular notgeld has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
