The Man Behind the Euro is a banknote book that contains the works and designs of Robert Kalina, the Austrian engraver who won the 1996 Euro Banknote Design competition and has designed the euro, Azerbaijan manat, the 2010 Syrian pound series, and the highest denomination of the 2002 Bosnia & Herzegovina convertible mark. The book has colored illustrations of the notes and their earlier designs, and Kalinas description, approach, and thought process while designing the note.
