The Tonga 1 Pa' anga banknote was released by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga in 2009 ND. The banknotes obverse features King George Tupou V and the emblem of Tonga. The reverse of the green paper bill depicts a whale leaping out of the water and a medallion. The banknote is 150 x 70 mm in size and bears a 1.4mm windowed security thread with a demetalized NRBT. It also has a watermark that shows King George Tupou V, an electrotype NRBT, and Cornerstones. Additionally, the note carries the signatures of NRBT Prime Minister Siale Ataongo Kaho Lord Tuivakano and Minister of Finance Sunia Manu Fili. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
