Turkey 1,000 Lira Banknote, L.1970 (1986 ND), P-196a.2, UNC, Prefix H

This violet Turkey 1,000 Lira banknote was released by the Central Bank of Turkey in 1986 under the 1970 law. On its obverse is an in-profile portrait of former president Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The reverse of the note depicts a sailing ship in Constantinople harbor and Fatih Sultan Mehmed who is known as The Conqueror. The banknote is equipped with a solid security thread with printed TURKIYE CUMHURIYET MERKEZ BANKASI. It also has a watermark that reflects Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. It is 140 x 72 mm in size and has an “H” prefix. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
