This used 1 million Turkish lira banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Central Bank of Turkey in 2002 as a response to hyperinflation. It is a claret-red and blue banknote that is dated 14 January 1970, bear the signatures of Surreya Serdengecti and S. Fatih Ozalay, and measures 160 mm x 76 mm. Its obverse side shows the Central Bank of Turkey logo and the Father of Modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Its reverse side also shows the bank logo with a view of the Ataturk Dam. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized TCMB and a watermark of Ataturk.
