Turkey 10 Million Lira, 1999, P-214, PMG 66

The Turkey 10 Million Lira is part of the family of notes issued in 1999 and is graded PMG 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. It features former President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The obverse of this banknote as well as its watermark bears a portrait of Ataturk. The obverse also shows a crescent, a star, and a stylized flame. The back of the banknote displays a compass rose on a modern map, a globe, and a sailing ship. Another notable design on the reverse of the note is cartographer Peri Reis 1513 Dunya haritasi or the world map. The Turkey 10 million lira issued in 1999 has a dimension of 162 x 76 mm and is signed by Central Bank Governors Gazi Ercel and Sureyya Serdengecti.
