The Turkey 10 Million Lira banknote is part of the family of notes introduced by the Central Bank of Turkey in L.1970 (1999 ND). The obverse design of the red banknote features Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who served as the nations president. It also depicts a crescent, a star, and a stylized flame. The back of the note displays a compass rose over a modern map. Additionally, the banknotes reverse shows a globe, a sailing ship, and the 1513 dunya haritasi or the world map which was illustrated by cartographer Piri Reis. The 162 x 76 mm paper bill carries a windowed security thread with a demetalized TCMB and a watermark that reflects Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. This particular banknote comes in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
