The Turkey 20,000 Lira banknote is part of the Central Bank of Turkeys issues that were released in 1988 under the law of 1970. The banknote is predominantly claret red with hints of violet. The obverse portrays the first president of the Republic Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. On the reverse is the bank headquarters building standing in Ankara. The banknote is 152 x 76 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread. Additionally, it has a watermark that displays Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
