The brown and green-colored Turkey 5,000 Lira banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Central Bank of Turkey in 1990 under the 1970 law. Its obverse features Mustafa Kemal Ataturk while its reverse design depicts the concrete cooling towers at the Afsin-Elbistan Termik Santrali or the Afsin-Elbistan Thermal Power Plant. The banknote is 146 x 72 mm in size and bears a solid security thread with TURKIYE CUMHURIYET MERKEZ BANKASI print. The paper bill also carries Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. This banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
