This uncirculated 5 million Turkish lira banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Turkey under Law 1970. It is a pastel yellow and greenish brown banknote that is dated January 1997, bears the signatures of Gazi Ercel and Selcuk Abac, and measures 162 mm x 76 mm. Its obverse side shows a portrait of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a map, and a golden seal radiating beams. Its reverse side depicts a view of the Anitkabir (memorial tomb) of Ataturk in Ankara, a stylized flame, and the sculpture of three men at the Road of Lions entry. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized TCMB, a serial number with a K-prefix, and a Type C watermark of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The banknote was demonetized in 2015.
