The Turkey 500,000 Lira banknote is part of the Central Bank of Turkeys 1970 issues. Depicted on the banknotes obverse is the bank logo and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who served as president of the newly reformed Turkish republic. The back of the note features the bank logo and the Canakkale Sehitleri Aniti or the Canakkale Martyrs Memorial which lies on the Hisarlik Hill in Morto Bay, overlooking the Dardanelles Strait. The banknote is 160 x 76 mm in size and bears a watermark that reveals Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Its windowed security thread has a demetalized TCMB. This banknote has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
