The Turkey 500,000 Lira banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Turkey in 1993, bearing an F prefix. The purple banknote shows the bank logo and a portrait of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk on its front design. The back design depicts the Canakkale Sehitleri Aniti or the Canakkale Martyrs Memorial on Hisarlik Hill in Morto Bay, overlooking the Dardanelles Strait. The note is 160 x 76 mm in size and carries a windowed security thread with a demetalized TCMB. The paper bill also has a watermark that reflects Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
