The Turkmenistan 50 Manat banknote was released by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan in 2005. The purple-colored banknote features the coat of arms of Turkmenistan and a portrait of President Saparmurat Niyazov on its obverse. The back of the banknote displays a grandstand and the racehorse "Yanardag" of the Achalteks. The 144 x 72 mm paper bill bears a solid security thread with a demetalized TMMB 50 and a watermark that reflects Saparmurat Niyazov. This 50 Turkmen manat banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
