Turkmenistan 50 Manat Banknote, 2005, P-17, UNC

The Turkmenistan 50 Manat Banknote is part of the 2005 series which introduced a unified design and a new serial numbering. The series also featured 7-digit serial numbers and 2-letter prefixes. This particular banknote is purple and measures 144 x 72 mm. The obverse side features President Saparmurat Niyazov along with the coat of arms. The reverse side shows a racehorse and a grandstand in the background. For security, this banknote features a solid security thread as well as a watermark of President Niyazov.
