The Uganda 1,000 Shilling banknote was released by the Bank of Uganda in 1986, after President Milton Obote was removed from power. Depicted on its obverse design is the national emblem on the map of Uganda. The bnknotes reverse features the Parliament building situated in Kampala. The red banknote comes in 156 x 66 mm and has a solid security thread. It also carries a watermark in the form of a crested crane. This Uganda 1,000 Shilling banknote has been graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
