The Uganda 1,000 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Bank of Uganda in 2005. It comes in a color combination of green and brown. The obverse of the paper bill features a farmer with a hoe, the coat of arms of Uganda, corn stalks, and the bank emblem. The reverse depicts two trucks in front of the grain silos in Jinja. The banknote contains a holographic stripe, a solid security thread with a demetallized 1000, and a watermark that reveals a crested crane. The paper bill is 150 x 75 mm in size and is signed by Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile and Janet Kahirimbanyi. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
