The Uganda 1,000 Shillings Banknote is part of the 2005 issues of the Bank of Uganda. It comes in a color combination of green and brown and contains English and Swahili text. The obverse of the note depicts a farmer with a hoe, the coat of arms of Uganda, corn stalks, and the bank emblem. The reverse of the paper bill shows two trucks in front of the grain silos in Jinja. The note carries a holographic stripe, a solid security thread with a demetallized 1000, and a watermark that reveals a crested crane. Its dimensions are 150 x 75 mm. It also bears the signatures of Janet Kahirimbanyi and Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile. This particular note is in uncirculated condition.
