The Uganda 10,000 Shilling banknote was released by the Bank of Uganda in 2017. The banknote has a color combination of purple and red. Its obverse features a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, the Key to Success monument standing at the Kyambogo University, the Sipi Falls cascading at Mount Elgon, a SPARK feature that shifts from green to blue when tilted, the coat of arms of Uganda, and jugs. The banknotes reverse depicts jugs, an image of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, the sun, a map, matoke plantains, and the monument of the National Independence in Kampala. The banknote is 143 x 70 mm in size and carries a holographic stripe and a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetalized BOU X. It also has a watermark in the form of a crested crane and an electrotype 100000. This Uganda 10,000 Shilling banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
