The Uganda 2,000 Shillings banknote is part of the 2017 issues. It is blue in color and measures 135 x 66 mm. The obverse side shows a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, the Source of the Nile Monument in Njeru, Nile river, a purple-to-green OVI patch, and the coat of arms. The reverse side features a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, the sun, a map, a tilapia fish, and the National Independence monument in Kampala. This banknote uses a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetalized BOU II and contains a watermark with a crested crane, electrotype 2000, and cornerstones design. It is graded 69 by the Paper Money Guarantee (PMG).
