The Uganda 2,000 Shilling banknote is part of the family of notes released by the Bank of Uganda in 2017. The blue banknote is 135 x 66 mm in size. Its obverse features a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress and the Source of the Nile Monument which is standing in Njeru. The Nile River, the coat of arms of Uganda, and a purple-to-green patch in Optically Variable Ink are also visible on the front design. The back of the note depicts a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, the sun, a map, a tilapia fish, and the National Independence monument in Kampala. The banknote bears a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetalized BOU II. It also has a watermark that reflects a crested crane, an electrotype 2000, and Cornerstones. This TAP authenticated paper bill comes in uncirculated condition.
