The Uganda 20 Shilling banknote is part of the new Ugandan shilling banknotes issued by the Bank of Uganda in 1987. Featured on the obverse of the purple banknote are the coat of arms, the bank seal, and the outline map of Uganda. On its reverse design are modern buildings that include the original Bank of Uganda headquarters building on Kampala Road and the Bank of Uganda Extension on Nile Avenue. The banknote is 136 x 66 mm in size and is made of paper. Its security features consist of a solid security thread and a watermark that shows a crested crane. This particular paper bill has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
