The Uganda 20 Shilling banknote was released by the Bank of Uganda in 1988 as part of the new Ugandan shilling issues. The banknote comes in purple and is 136 x 66 mm in size. The banknotes obverse features the coat of arms, the outline map of Uganda, and the bank seal. On the back of the note are modern architectures including the original Bank of Uganda headquarters building on Kampala Road and the Bank of Uganda Extension on Nile Avenue. The paper bill has dimensions of 136 x 66 mm and bears a solid security thread. Its watermark shows a crested crane. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
