The Uganda 5,000 Shilling banknote was released by the Bank of Uganda in 1986. Featured on its obverse design is the national emblem on the map of Uganda. The banknotes reverse depicts the Makerere University Main Hall building with a clock tower. The paper bill measures 158 x 90 mm. Its security features include a solid security thread and a watermark that reflects a crested crane. This Uganda 5,000 Shilling banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
