The Uganda 5,000 Shilling banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Bank of Uganda in 1986, after Milton Obote was ousted. The banknotes obverse depicts the countrys emblem on the map of Uganda. On its reverse design is the Makerere University Main Hall building with a clock tower. The banknote has dimensions of 158 x 90 mm and bears a solid security thread. Additionally, it carries a watermark that reveals a crested crane. This particular banknote has been graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
