This uncirculated 5,000 Ugandan shilling note was issued by the Bank of Uganda in 2010 and signed by Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile and George W. Nyeko. It is a green note that measures 139 mm long and 68 mm wide. Its obverse side contains a view of the World War II memorial in Kampala, the coat of arms of Uganda, a purple-to-green OVI, and the bank emblem. Its reverse side shows a man in a Karimojong headdress, weaver birds, a nest, and an outline map of Uganda. Security features include a red-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized BOU V and a watermark of a crested crane with electrotype 5000.
