Reviews:

The Uganda 5,000 Shillings Banknote is part of the Bank of Uganda’s 2010 issues. The obverse of the green banknote depicts a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong dress, the World War I and II memorial at the Constitutional Square in Kampala, the Rwenzori mountains, a purple-to-green Optically Variable Ink, and the coat of arms of Uganda. The reverse of the note features a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, a sun, a map, and a bird’s nest. It also shows weaver birds and the National Independence monument in Kampala. The paper bill contains a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetallized BOU V and a watermark that reveals a crested crane and an electrotype 5000. It is 139 x 68 mm in size and bears the signatures of Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile and George W. Nyeko. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
