Uganda 5,000 Shillings Banknote from 2010 with a pick number P-51a is in uncirculated (UNC) condition and features the coat of arms of Uganda.


The Uganda 5,000 Shillings Banknote is part of the Bank of Uganda’s 2010 issues. The obverse of the green banknote depicts a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong dress, the World War I and II memorial at the Constitutional Square in Kampala, the Rwenzori mountains, a purple-to-green Optically Variable Ink, and the coat of arms of Uganda. The reverse of the note features a profile of a man wearing a Karimojong headdress, a sun, a map, and a bird’s nest. It also shows weaver birds and the National Independence monument in Kampala. The paper bill contains a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetallized BOU V and a watermark that reveals a crested crane and an electrotype 5000. It is 139 x 68 mm in size and bears the signatures of Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile and George W. Nyeko. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
